Decision on putting into circulation of banknotes in denomination of 500 denars

Pursuant to Article 25 paragraph 1 and paragraph 3 and Article 47 paragraph 1 item 20 of the Law on the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 158/10, 123/12, 43/14, 153/15, 6/16 and 83/18 and Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 110/21, 74/24 and 16/25), the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia Council has adopted the following DECISION on putting into circulation of banknotes in denomination of 500 denars

1. This Decision shall put into circulation banknotes in denomination of 500 denars
   bearing the printing sign "June 2025" and with features set in the Decision on issuing denomination structure and main features of banknotes (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 45/96), the Decision on issuing and printing banknotes in denominations of 500 and 1000 denars with modified features (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 46/03) and the Decision on issuing banknotes in denomination of 500 denars with modified features (Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 50/19 and 88/20), starting from 1 September 2025.
2. Besides putting into circulation of the banknotes referred to in item 1 of this Decision,
   banknotes in denomination of 500 denars issued under the Decision on the issue, denomination and basic features of banknotes (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 45/96), the Decision on issuing and printing banknotes in denominations of 500 and 1000 denars with modified features (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 46/03) and the Decision on issuing banknotes in denomination of 500 denar with modified features (Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 50/19 and 88/20) shall remain into circulation in the cash payment operations of the Republic of North Macedonia.
3. This Decision shall enter into force on the eighth day of its publication in the Official
   Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia.
