Regulation on the Types of Alternative Investment Funds (Official Gazette, Nos. 28/19, 15/2020, 155/22 and 27/26 – Unofficial Consolidated Text)

The Croatian Financial Services Agency (HANFA) issued this Regulation to transpose Directive (EU) 2024/927 and establish the types, operational conditions, permitted investments, and investment limits for alternative investment funds (AIFs) in Croatia. It mandates suitability assessments for qualified investors, defines distribution channels for open and closed AIFs with public offers, and sets strict diversification rules covering transferable securities, derivatives, real estate, and collective investment undertakings. The Regulation standardizes risk management, liquidity requirements, supervisory reporting, and depositary services while permitting retail investor access under specified conditions.
