Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) issued Circular No. 46013826 requiring all supervised financial institutions to establish technical integration with (Elm) Company to utilize the Ministry of Interior’s Digital Document service for verifying and obtaining digital copies of customer identities. The directive mandates direct coordination with (Elm), requires prompt notification to SAMA regarding any implementation challenges, and enforces compliance with existing regulations while preserving customers’ right to freely choose between physical plastic IDs and digital versions.
