Electronic Transactions Act No. 6 of 2011

The Act grants legal recognition to electronic documents, records, signatures, and transactions, ensuring they are not denied legal effect solely due to their electronic form. It establishes rules for contract formation, including the validity of electronic offers and acceptance, and defines the time and place of sending and receiving data messages. The legislation sets minimum reliability and integrity standards for electronic signatures and mandates the accreditation of Electronic Authentication Service Providers to issue qualified authentication products.
