ESAs Joint Committee Public Consultation on the Second Set of Technical Standards under Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 on Digital Operational Resilience for the Financial Sector
The European Supervisory Authorities have opened the second set of Technical Standards under Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 on Digital Operational Resilience for the Financial Sector for public consultation. As detailed by the latter circular, Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 (“the Regulation”) is to be supplemented by, inter alia, a series of Technical Standards and Guidelines. Following an interinstitutional drafting process by the European Supervisory Authorities (”ESAs”), the first set of Technical Standards with a delivery deadline of January 2024 was open for public consultation between June and September 2023, as detailed by Circular titled ESAs Joint Committee Public Consultation on the First Set of Technical Standards under Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 on Digital Operational Resilience for the Financial Sector. The second set of Technical Standards with a delivery deadline of July 2024 is now open for public consultation. Financial entities and other interested stakeholders are invited to provide their feedback via the links provided by the ESAs on their websites as follows:
- European Banking Authority
- European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority
- European Securities and Markets Authority
The deadline for the submission of comments is 4 March 2024. The ESAs will also be holding a public hearing, in the form of a webinar, on 23 January 2024 from 09:00hrs to 18:00hrs.
