The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago requires licensed domestic institutions to notify the regulator in writing at least seven days prior to establishing, acquiring, or opening a representative office. Notifications must specify the location, operational date, employee count, and nature of activities. Institutions are exempt from the requisite fee under the Sixth Schedule of the Financial Institutions Act, 2008 if the office operates for fewer than thirty calendar days within a calendar year.
