Amending Basic Decision No. 13611 dated 2/2/2024
The Governor of Banque du Liban,
Based on the Monetary and Credit Law, especially Articles 70 and 174 thereof, And based on Basic Decision No. 13611 dated 2/2/2024 and its amendments, concerning exceptional measures for the repayment of deposits constituted before 30/6/2023 in foreign currencies, And based on the decision of the Central Council of Banque du Liban taken at its session held on 10/9/2026,
Decides the following:
Article One: The text of the last paragraph of "First" from Article Two of Basic Decision No. 13611 dated 2/2/2024 shall be repealed and replaced with the following text:
"First" Exception to the provisions of this Article, the following shall benefit from the provisions of this Decision:
- Individual establishments.
- Associations licensed by the competent authorities.
- Religious and endowment associations subject to the legal frameworks in force.
Article Two: This Decision shall be effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
