In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Companies Act, 1994 (Act No. XIX of 1994), the Ministry of Finance hereby exempts, subject to the conditions specified herein, foreign-owned companies and joint venture companies with foreign investment from the compliance of the provisions of the Companies Act, 1994, and the rules made thereunder, as specified in the notifications issued by the Ministry of Finance vide S.R.O. 159/36/Off/03-44 dated May 5, 2010, and S.R.O. 159/36/Off/03-44 dated January 1, 2010.
