It is brought to your attention that this Central Bank adopted, on February 28, 2024, Resolution D/56/2024, which is transcribed below.

HAVING VIEWED: Resolution D/24/2024 of January 31, 2024, which incorporated modifications in the reporting of over-the-counter operations in the foreign exchange market.

WHEREAS: The aforementioned resolution in the HAVING VIEWED section establishes that the validity of the modifications to Article 155.8 of Book XII - Information, of the Compilation of Operational Rules, will be March 1, 2024.

CONSIDERING: That to the extent that the Association of Private Banks of Uruguay informed that systems must be adjusted and procedures implemented by institutions, and that information on over-the-counter operations in the foreign exchange market must operate fully and smoothly, it is deemed pertinent to grant an extension of the entry into force of the modifications established by Resolution D/24/2024 of January 31, 2024, understanding that this does not affect the objectives pursued.

IN ATTENDANCE TO: The foregoing, the provisions of Article 1 of Law No. 12,670 of December 17, 1959, Articles 7 letter G) and 25 of Law No. 16,696 of March 30, 1995, as amended by Article 5 of Law No. 18,401 of October 24, 2008, Articles 2 and 19 to 21 of Law No. 18,573 of September 13, 2009, the information provided by the Economic Policy and Markets Management on February 22, 2024, and other records appearing in file No. 2020-50-1-1055,

IT IS RESOLVED:

1. To extend the entry into force of the modifications to Article 155.8 of Book XII – Information, of the Compilation of Operational Rules, established by Resolution D/24/2024 of January 31, 2024, which will now be May 1, 2024.

2. To entrust the Economic Policy and Markets Management with the communication of the above through Circular.
