The Executive Board of the National Bank of Serbia issued this Decision to regulate the specific cases and conditions under which residents and banks may conduct payment, collection, pay-in, and pay-out operations in foreign cash within Serbia. The regulation permits foreign cash transactions for designated activities such as exports, international transport, duty-free sales, and humanitarian donations, while imposing strict deadlines for depositing collected cash into foreign currency bank accounts and limiting vault holdings for operational needs. It also establishes compliance requirements for anti-money laundering measures and defines the roles of various entities including exchange dealers, postal operators, and diplomatic missions in handling foreign currency.
