The State Bank of Pakistan revises the Facilitation Framework for BISP Sahulat Accounts, mandating banks and Microfinance Banks to onboard beneficiaries in eight cities during a pilot phase using secure data exchange and UN Security Council screening. Banks are required to activate accounts via Biometric Verification or NADRA Verisys, issue cheque books or PayPak debit cards, and enable cash withdrawals through branches and ATMs without off-us ATM charges. The framework prohibits internet or mobile banking facilities for these accounts and requires dedicated coordination functions, employee training, and 24/7 customer support to resolve beneficiary issues.
