Fees for Copies of Documents and Free Reports to Retirement Fund Members
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority issued Standard No. RF.S.5.23 to mandate retirement fund boards provide core governance documents, rules, and annual reports to members free of charge. The regulation permits funds to charge reasonable, board-approved fees for specifically requested copies or paper formats while guaranteeing free electronic delivery and allowing fee-exempt excerpts for lengthy bound documents. Boards must also ensure a summary of these provisions is distributed to all members at no cost and may delegate fee approvals to principal officers subject to regular review.
