FEID Circular Letter No. 06: Guidelines for Granting Permission for Establishment of Foreign Commercial Offices in Bangladesh, Providing Recommendations of Visas and Issuing Work Permits to Foreign Workers, 2023
The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) issued Notification No: 03.219.344.00.00.1142.2019-849 on May 29, 2023, amending its 2011 guidelines to establish the 'Guidelines for Granting Permission for Establishment of Foreign Commercial Offices in Bangladesh, Providing Recommendations of Visas and Issuing Work Permits to Foreign Workers, 2023'. Bangladesh Bank’s Foreign Exchange Investment Department directs all Authorized Dealers to refer to these updated guidelines and the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions-2018 for granting permission to establish or open branch, liaison, or representative offices of foreign companies in Bangladesh and for issuing work permits to foreign nationals. The amended guidelines have been posted on the BIDA website for execution by all concerned stakeholders.
