Dear Sir,

The Gazette Notification issued through Memorandum No. 24.00.0000.000.119.18.0019.25-153 dated April 27, 2026, by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is enclosed herewith for your information and necessary action.

2. In this regard, FEP Circular Letter No. 25 issued on July 03, 2025, pursuant to the Memorandum of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute dated June 26, 2025, shall be considered cancelled.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969), the Government hereby issues the following notification:

Whereas, it is expedient to impose government revenue fees on the export of raw jute and jute products;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969), the Government hereby issues the following notification:

1. This notification may be called the Government Revenue Fees on Export of Raw Jute and Jute Products Notification, 2026.

2. In this notification, unless the context otherwise requires:
   (a) "Act" means the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969); (b) "Customs Act" means the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969); (c) "Customs Officer" means the Commissioner of Customs, Additional Commissioner of Customs, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, or any other officer of customs appointed under the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969); (d) "Customs Port" means a port declared as a customs port under section 4 of the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969); (e) "Customs Station" means a customs station declared under section 4 of the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969); (f) "Customs Territory" means the customs territory of Bangladesh declared under section 2 of the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969); (g) "Customs Zone" means a customs zone declared under section 4 of the Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969); (h) "Export" means taking goods out of the customs territory of Bangladesh; (i) "Goods" means every kind of movable property other than money and securities; (j) "Jute" means raw jute; (k) "Jute Product" means any product made of jute; (l) "Raw Jute" means jute that has not been processed; (m) "Revenue" means government revenue; (n) "Notification" means this notification.

3. The government revenue fee on the export of raw jute and jute products shall be imposed as follows:
   (a) Raw Jute: 50 Taka per metric ton;
   (b) Jute Products: 100 Taka per metric ton.

4. The government revenue fee shall be paid by the exporter before the export of raw jute and jute products.

5. The government revenue fee shall be paid to the account of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

6. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer at the customs port, customs station, or customs zone where the export of raw jute and jute products takes place.

7. The government revenue fee shall be collected in the manner prescribed by the Commissioner of Customs.

8. The government revenue fee shall be collected in Bangladeshi Taka.

9. The government revenue fee shall be collected from the exporter or his agent.

10. The government revenue fee shall be collected before the release of the goods for export.

11. The government revenue fee shall be collected by issuing a receipt in the prescribed form.

12. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer in the presence of the exporter or his agent.

13. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the export documents.

14. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the quantity and quality of the goods.

15. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the value of the goods.

16. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the destination of the goods.

17. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the mode of transport of the goods.

18. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the date of export of the goods.

19. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the name of the exporter of the goods.

20. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the address of the exporter of the goods.

21. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the contact details of the exporter of the goods.

22. The government revenue fee shall be collected by the customs officer after verifying the tax identification number of the exporter of the goods.
