FEPD Circular No. 08: Bank guarantee by exporters to competent authorities/agencies in the country of import
Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh are permitted to issue guarantees in favor of competent authorities or agencies in the country of import on behalf of Bangladeshi exporters. This authorization applies specifically to commitments required to comply with specified quality standards of the importing country. The issuance is subject to usual norms, the exporter's performance history, and potential export expectations.
