FEPD Circular No. 13: Agency commission for handling vessels
The document revises the minimum agency commission for handling vessels at Bangladesh ports, effective for shipments from April 01, 2021. It sets the commission at 2.50 percent of total transportation charges for exports on CFR terms and imports on FOB terms, and 5.00 percent for exports on FOB terms and imports on CFR terms. These percentages apply to total transportation charges payable by exporters or importers, which include all charges such as freight and agency commission. The instructions apply to Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange, foreign shipping lines, their agents, and licensed freight forwarders operating in Bangladesh.
