FEPD Circular No. 30: Release of foreign exchange for private travel abroad - flexibility
Authorized Dealers may endorse travel entitlements on passports for international cards for multiple years up to passport validity, provided yearly usage does not exceed the USD 12,000 limit and unused quotas are not carried forward. This facility excludes Bangladesh nationals traveling for employment, immigration, or study, and supplementary cardholders must use their own travel entitlements. If the quota is exceeded on unavoidable grounds, excess amounts may be debited from RFCD accounts or, if that is not possible, adjusted against the following year's quota up to USD 500 without prior approval. These instructions are effective immediately and require Authorized Dealers to implement adequate monitoring mechanisms.
