FEPD Circular No. 35: Export subsidy for SME in textile/RMG sectors

The document extends cash subsidy benefits to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the export-oriented knit, woven, and sweater sectors of Bangladesh for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. SMEs using only foreign yarn or a mix of domestic and foreign yarn are eligible for a subsidy calculated on local value addition, provided it reaches a minimum threshold of 30%. The subsidy is calculated at 4% of the net FOB export value and cannot be combined with duty drawback or customs bond facilities for the same goods. Applications must be submitted to authorized dealer banks within 45 days of the circular's issuance, accompanied by Form 'A' and a verification certificate from relevant trade associations.
