FEPD Circular No. 50: Import of capital goods on usance term
Paragraph 35(2) of FE Circular No. 33/2025 is replaced to allow Authorized Dealers to permit industrial importers to import capital machinery and goods on a usance term of up to three years under supplier’s or buyer’s credit. This tenure also applies to imports by industrial enterprises in export processing zones, private export processing zones, economic zones, hi-tech parks, and other government-designated specialized zones. The usance period for the import of spares remains capped at 360 days in all cases.
