Final draft Guidelines on ICT and security risk management

These guidelines specify the risk management measures that financial institutions, including payment service providers, credit institutions, and investment firms, must take to manage ICT and security risks under Article 74 of the CRD and Article 95 of PSD2. They require the establishment of sound internal governance, an ICT strategy aligned with business strategy, independent control and audit functions, and detailed information security and business continuity management processes. The guidelines apply from 30 June 2020 and repeal the previous Guidelines on security measures for operational and security risks of payment services (EBA/GL/2017/17). Competent authorities must notify the EBA of their compliance status by 04/05/2020.
