Rule · BCRA · 29 Sep 2006 · A 4581
Financial institutions lending to energy-sector companies must verify, before each credit assistance, that the borrower has obtained the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic's general treatment for private sector companies and continues to meet its conditions. Such companies must be corporations under Law 19.550, have energy activities as their specific purpose, and be subject to National Public Sector controls under Law 24.156; they must petition by signed note with sworn declarations and public accountant certification. When a company ceases to meet those conditions, non-financial public sector provisions apply to new financings from that moment.
