Foreign Exchange Transactions by the Enterprises of Economic Zones (EZs) in Bangladesh

This circular replaces previous directives to establish foreign exchange regulations for industrial, developer, and service enterprises in Economic Zones, categorized as Type A (100% foreign-owned), Type B (joint ventures), and Type C (100% Bangladeshi-owned). It authorizes enterprises to maintain foreign currency and Taka accounts without prior permission, treats sales to and from EZs as exports subject to standard reporting, and permits specific remittances for dividends, disinvestment, and technical fees within defined limits. The document also outlines procedures for foreign nationals' income remittances and mandates that all foreign exchange transactions be reported via the Online Foreign Exchange Transaction Monitoring System.
