Form and Content of Applications for Name Changes or Alternative Names
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority mandates that financial institutions submit standardized applications for name changes, alternative names, or shortened forms under the Financial Institutions and Markets Act. Applicants must complete the prescribed schedule, obtain principal officer signatures, and submit either electronically via the regulatory system or in hard copy alongside proof of fee payment and a supporting resolution. Incomplete submissions face rejection, while entities effecting a name change must file certified documentation with the Business and Intellectual Property Authority within thirty calendar days.
