The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervision Authority (NAMFISA) has launched a formal consultation on subordinate legislation necessary to operationalize the NAMFISA and Financial Institutions and Markets Acts. Regulated entities must review draft standards published in the Gazette and submit written representations by 28 February 2022, adhering to a statutory thirty-day consultation window. Final regulations will be gazetted concurrently with the Acts' commencement on 1 October 2022, establishing binding compliance frameworks for financial institutions and intermediaries.
