FSCA Communication 2 of 2023 (INS): Exemption for Direct Collection of Premium - Extension of the Exemption Until Further Notice

Any independent intermediary performing direct collection of premium must be authorised in writing by the insurer, separately for each intermediary involved, and may not sub-outsource these activities without the licensed insurer's explicit authorisation of each intermediary. Insurers must confirm no intermediary is remunerated more than once for the same activity, remain accountable for oversight, and ensure remuneration is reasonable and commensurate with the services. The Exemption Notices remain in effect until further notice.
