General Provisions Designating Days in 2017 for Closure of Retirement Fund Administrators and Related Entities
The document mandates that Retirement Fund Administrators, similar public institutions, specialized retirement investment societies, and National SAR Database Operating Companies close their doors and suspend operations on February 6, March 20, April 13 and 14, May 1, November 20, and December 25, 2017, in addition to weekends. The National Commission for the Retirement Savings System (CNAR) also suspends its activities on these dates plus May 5 and November 2, 2017. These designated days are considered non-working days for filing and resolving administrative appeals and for calculating information submission deadlines, though online services for Social Security Institutes must remain operational. The CNAR retains the authority to order additional closures, authorize early reopening for inspections, and approve entity-specific holiday requests submitted by January 31, 2017.
