The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago issued this July 2022 guideline requiring financial institutions, including licensees, financial holding companies, and insurers, to establish a comprehensive market risk management framework. The document mandates that boards and senior management implement governance structures, policies, and measurement systems to identify, monitor, and control risks such as interest rate, foreign exchange, equity, and commodities exposure. It further requires regular stress testing, independent internal reviews, and immediate notification to the regulator regarding material developments affecting the institution's risk profile.
