Guidelines for Name Reservation of Companies & LLPs

Companies and LLPs seeking name reservation must not use names identical or similar to registered or reserved names, inappropriate, deceptive, or unusual words like Gmbh, PTE, FZE, LLC, garrison, or notary without justification. Names are reserved for 60 days for companies and 30 days for LLPs, with no extension. Applications via eZfile require three proposed names and Rs 1,000; offline APP-1 requires Rs 2,000. False information cancels reservation and incurs a penalty not exceeding level 1.
