The Monetary Authority of Singapore issued these guidelines to clarify the meaning of a true and fair view for registered business trusts adopting Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International). The document instructs trustee-managers and directors to ensure that profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements are prepared in accordance with SFRS(I) requirements. Compliance with these standards is a primary factor in determining whether financial statements meet the statutory obligations under the Business Trusts Act.
