These Guidelines require EU-registered Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs) to submit periodic information to ESMA for ongoing supervision, fee calculation, and market share analysis, excluding certified CRAs. CRAs are assigned to either Calendar A or Calendar B based on supervisory assessment, dictating specific submission frequencies ranging from quarterly to bi-annual and corresponding deadlines such as 31 July or 31 January. The document mandates the use of designated templates for reporting on board documents, internal governance, organizational charts, litigation, conflicts of interest, rating reviews, resourcing, internal controls, IT strategy, and financial data. Submissions must be transmitted in machine-readable formats, and ESMA reserves the right to update templates for non-material changes without consultation.
