HRRF – Issuance of Draft Technical Documentation for Financial Institutions (FI) and Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASP)
The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) are issuing draft technical documentation for Financial Institutions (FI) and Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASP). This documentation details the structure, content, and technical specifications for preparing and submitting MFSA-specific regulatory returns and the FIAU Risk Evaluation Questionnaire (REQ) in a new JSON format. A free converter tool and guidance are provided to assist licence holders with this transition. These draft versions are released to allow time for preparation, with final versions expected towards the end of August or beginning of September, and a seminar for affected sectors scheduled for September 11.
