Implementation of Section 51A of UAPA, 1967: Updates to UNSC’s 1267/ 1989 ISIL (Da'esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions List: Amendment of 21 Entries
The document instructs regulated entities to amend their records to reflect 21 amendments to the UNSC’s ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List, as notified by the Ministry of External Affairs on August 18, 2026. Regulated entities must strictly follow the procedure laid down in the UAPA Order dated February 02, 2021, and ensure they do not maintain accounts for individuals or entities appearing in the updated sanctions list. Any requests for de-listing received by banks must be forwarded electronically to the Joint Secretary (CTCR) of the Ministry of Home Affairs for consideration.
