Instruction No. 22-11-2016 on the Declaration Procedures for Credit Institutions' Summary Documents to the BCEAO
The Governor of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) issued Instruction No. 022-11-2016 to standardize how credit institutions declare their summary documents, including periodic statements and annual accounts. The directive mandates transmission via a dedicated digital platform by the 15th of the following month for periodic reports and before June 30 for annual accounts, while enforcing data completeness, reliability, and prescribed formatting. Non-compliance triggers late transmission penalties under existing banking regulations, with this instruction fully replacing prior contradictory provisions effective January 1, 2017.
