Instruction No. 27 on the Standardization of Promissory Notes

The Central Bank of Congo mandates technical specifications and standardized formats for promissory notes to ensure automated processing in clearing systems. Credit institutions and other clearing participants must use notes that meet defined paper quality, printing, and layout requirements, including specific zones for payment mandates, amounts, and signatures. Non-compliant notes will be rejected for clearing six months after the instruction's signature.
