Regarding the Re-levying of Clearing System Fees

Based on the provisions of Decision-Law No. (17) of 2012 concerning the National Payments Settlement Law, particularly Article (7) thereof, and after reviewing Instructions No. (4) of 2014 concerning the fees of the Immediate Payments and Clearing System, and Instructions No. (34) of 2020 concerning the clearing system fees, and based on what was approved by the Board of Directors of the Palestine Monetary Authority in its meeting No. (235) dated 03/06/2021, and in accordance with the powers delegated to us, and in pursuit of the public interest, we have issued the following Instructions:

Article (1)

Scope of Application

The provisions of these Instructions shall apply to all banks licensed to operate in Palestine.

Article (2)

Clearing System Fees

Instructions No. (34) of 2020 concerning the clearing system fees are hereby repealed.

Article (3)

Repeal

Anything inconsistent with the provisions of these Instructions is hereby repealed.

Article (4)

Implementation and Enforcement

All competent authorities shall, each within their respective jurisdiction, implement the provisions of these Instructions, which shall apply from 01/07/2021.
