Insurance Act 2018

The Insurance Act 2018, enacted by the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago, repeals and replaces the former Insurance Act, Chapter 84:01. This legislation reforms the law concerning insurance companies and regulates insurance businesses and privately administered pension fund plans. It applies to all persons conducting insurance business, acting as intermediaries or insurance consultants in or from Trinidad and Tobago, and to privately administered pension fund plans registered under Part IX. The Act will come into operation on a date fixed by the President via Proclamation.
