The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that banks independently determine and publicly announce weekly interest rates for deposits and credit facilities, ensuring actual rates closely match announced rates. Banks are required to provide customers with written disclosure of all loan terms, including annual percentage rates and fees, and must adhere to specific calculation bases for interest and commissions outlined in the document's annexes. This directive repeals previous circulars and memoranda, establishing new transparency and competition standards effective immediately.
