IOEAMA UNSCR Ref SC15510 Al-Shabaab (Somalia) 1 December 2023
The Securities Commission of The Bahamas informs licensees and registrants that the UN Security Council renewed the sanctions regime and arms embargo against Al-Shabaab (Somalia) for one year via Resolution 2713 (2023). Regulated entities are reminded of their obligation to take all appropriate actions to ensure full compliance with section 3A of the International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Part IV of the Anti-Terrorism Act, and regulation 8 of the Anti-Terrorism Regulations in relation to Somalia.
