Latvijas Banka issues license to SIA AlphaRoute for crypto-asset services
The Supervisory Committee of the Bank of Latvia issued a license to SIA AlphaRoute on June 18 to provide crypto-asset services in compliance with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation. This authorization permits AlphaRoute to offer services including crypto-asset custody, trading platform operation, and exchange services, enabling cross-border operations throughout the EU. The Bank of Latvia has now issued licenses to seven companies in this sector and encourages other applicants to utilize pre-licensing consultations and official guidance documents to ensure a swift approval process.
