Levies on Medical Aid Funds

Registered medical aid funds must pay annual levies consisting of a basic levy of N$2000.00 and an additional levy of N$12.00 for each principal member at the end of the preceding year. The first bi-annual payment is due by September 30, 2003, and must be deposited into the Namibia Financial Institution Supervisory Authority's bank account at Standard Bank Namibia. Overdue amounts incur interest at the prevailing prime overdraft rate of Standard Bank Namibia, and all levies are inclusive of VAT.
