Licensing and Credit Information Fees of Capital Goods Finance Companies Directive No. CGFB/13/2022
The National Bank of Ethiopia establishes specific fees for licensing and credit information services applicable to all Capital Goods Finance Companies operating in Ethiopia. New license applicants must pay an investigation fee of 50,000 Birr and a licensing fee of 100,000 Birr, while renewals and replacements cost 100,000 Birr, and branch licenses cost 4,000 Birr per branch. Credit information fees are tiered based on aggregate loan amounts, ranging from zero for requests up to 100,000 Birr to 2,000 Birr for amounts exceeding 1,000,000 Birr. This directive repeals specific articles from previous directives and entered into effect on October 5, 2022.
