Scheduled banks in Bangladesh must observe a list of 28 holidays during the year 2026, as specified in the circular. The schedule includes national observances such as Independence Day, Bengali New Year's Day, and Victory Day, alongside religious holidays like Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, and Durga Puja, with specific dates provided for each occasion. Certain holidays, including Shab-e-Barat, Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Ashura, and Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, are subject to the appearance of the moon. Additionally, Chaitra Sankranti is designated as a holiday only for the Rangamati, Khagrachari, and Bandarban Hill Districts.
