List of National Politically Exposed Persons
The Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit issues a list of public positions whose holders are considered National Politically Exposed Persons for financial institutions and obligated subjects in Mexico. This update incorporates recommendations from the Financial Action Task Force to include high-ranking military officials, municipal-level positions, and state-owned enterprise executives. Financial entities must use this list as a basis to identify clients and beneficial owners with such status and apply risk-based assessments.
