Banks must report the Loan to Deposit ratio (LOR) to SAMA on a consolidated basis monthly using updated returns, effective June 2023. Interbank and SAMA transactions are excluded from the LDR calculation unless specified. Banks must maintain a total LDR below 90%, provided the numerator does not exceed the unweighted denominator. These guidelines supersede previous circulars including No 392 and No 391.
