Mapping of SME Rating Scales of External Credit Assessment Institutions with Bangladesh Bank's SME Rating Grades
Scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh may nominate one or more rating agencies for the credit rating of their Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients to calculate Risk Weighted Assets. The SME rating scales of Credit Rating Information and Service Limited, Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh, and Emerging Credit Rating Limited are mapped to Bangladesh Bank’s SME rating grades. The document provides a specific equivalence table linking Bangladesh Bank grades SME 1 through SME 6 to the corresponding ratings of these three institutions.
