Market Conduct Standards for Direct Life Insurer as a Product Provider

Direct life insurers must prepare specific disclosure documents (cover pages, illustrations, summaries) for each policy, notify the Authority one month before product launches, and ensure all client information is clear and not misleading. Insurers are prohibited from issuing policies without a signed Life Insurance Advisory Form and must warn clients about the disadvantages of policy replacement. Additionally, insurers must not extend loans to advisers from life insurance funds unless on commercial terms and must inform policyholders if their adviser ceases operations. By 21 April annually, insurers must lodge printed source of business reports using Appendix B. Failure to comply may result in product approval revocation.
