Martin Hirzel is President of Swissmem. He is to take up office with effect from 1 May 2026 as the successor to Romeo Lacher. Romeo Lacher stepped down from the Bank Council with effect from the date of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 25 April 2025. He had served as Vice President of the Bank Council since his election in 2021. From the start of his term of office, he was also Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Nomination Committee.
