MAS Notice FSM-N12 Cyber Hygiene
This Notice requires merchant banks in Singapore to secure administrative accounts, apply security patches commensurate with risk, and maintain written security standards for all systems. It mandates network perimeter controls to restrict unauthorized traffic, implement malware protection where available, and enforce multi-factor authentication for administrative accounts on critical systems and any internet-accessible accounts handling customer information. The Notice takes effect on 10 May 2024.
