Master Circular for Foreign Venture Capital Investors (FVCIs)

The Securities and Exchange Board of India consolidates previous circulars into this Master Circular, which rescinds three prior directives while preserving pending applications and existing liabilities. Foreign Venture Capital Investors must obtain firm investor commitments of at least USD 1 million at the time of registration application. All FVCIs are required to submit quarterly venture capital activity reports via the SEBI Intermediary Portal within seven days of each calendar quarter's end, with domestic custodians responsible for timely submission. The online filing system for registration and compliance reports has been operational since July 1, 2017.
