Greetings,

Further to my Memorandum No. (2024/11) dated 2024/5/27 (attached) regarding the instructions for depositing and withdrawing cash from the Central Bank, I request confirmation of the necessity to comply with the aforementioned Memorandum, particularly Item Three, and to emphasize to your main centers the requirement to send a fax of the amounts to be withdrawn from your account with us at least one business day in advance. Please note that no requests received from banks on the same day will be fulfilled, and they will be executed after 1:00 PM.

Greetings,

Further to my Memorandum addressed to Licensed Banks No. (2018/35) dated 2018/7/1 regarding our instructions related to cash deposit operations at the Central Bank, I request that you confirm the necessity of doing the following:

First: - Emphasize to your main centers the necessity of exercising precision when preparing cash batches and counting them before depositing them into your accounts with the Central Bank, and exercising precision when preparing the deposit document and verifying all information contained therein.

Second: - Emphasize to your main centers not to delay cash batches until after 2:00 PM, as the Bank's Cashier's office hours end at 2:00 PM, and no armored car will be allowed to enter the Central Bank of Jordan building after that time.

Third: - Emphasize to your main centers the sending of a fax of the amounts to be withdrawn from your account with us at least one business day in advance, noting that no requests from banks that do not comply with this will be fulfilled.

Fourth: - Emphasize to your main centers the sorting of banknotes of all denominations into valid and invalid-for-reissue cash, and sorting the fourth issue from the fifth issue before depositing them into your accounts with the Central Bank.

Fifth: - Emphasize to your main centers the placement of an accurate information card on each bundle of cash showing the name of the depositing bank and the date of deposit, in addition to an information card on each packet.

Sixth: - Emphasize to your main centers the processing of coins before depositing them into your accounts with the Central Bank, with the necessity of doing the following: - 1- Sorting coins by denomination and not mixing more than one denomination inside a bag to complete the value. 2- Sorting damaged cash from valid cash and depositing them in separate bags. 3- Placing a contents card on each bag indicating the denomination of the cash, the total amount, and the date. 4- Ensuring that coin bags are free of any non-Jordanian cash.
